Oxmoor Introduces New Digital Whole House Music System14 September 2006(Denver, CO) – Oxmoor Corporation LLC introduced today at CEDIA a new component style ZON Whole House Digital Music System. Called the ZAS-430, this new ZON Whole House Digital Music System is a kit of components that distributes up to four unique audio sources to six different listening zones throughout the home. In larger homes where more than six different listening zones are required, the system is stackable and expandable to meet most any design requirement. Built on ZON's revolutionary all-digital architecture, homeowners can enjoy the rich quality and tonal accuracy of high-quality noise-free digital audio anywhere in the home. Each of the controller/amplifiers is about the size of a single light switch plate and come in the signature titanium color. Standard architectural colors are also available. Into this small package ZON packed a 30-Watt amplifier, bright LCD display and control intelligence. The multi-function jog wheel provides source and volume adjustment as well as access to preferences for tone, balance, loudness, equalization and other music settings to enhance the listening experience. One of the clever features is control to turn the entire system on and off from one location. Whole house presets is a tool to create whole house listening environments called "party modes" that can be selected with just the push of one button on the system remote. Many of these features are also available at each controller. To help keep audio sources sorted, ZON includes vast library of device names and locations that are stored in the system and selectable from any controller. The system works right out of the box without the need for programming or setup. This ZON system features easy-to-install components. The product also contains many features found only in so-called "high end" systems, but at a price considerably lower than products with the same feature sets. Technical DataThis version of the ZAS-430 contains the following components: 1 ZR-46 ZON Router, 4 ZAC-30 Audio Controller/Amplifiers, 1 ZIM-4 Input Module, 1 ZSR-4 System Remote Other system features include:All-digital architecture – Unlike other products that distribute audio information throughout the home in an analog format, the ZON product delivers audio to remotely located digital amplifiers in a pure digital format. This eliminates noise, signal loss and degraded audio quality issues that are inherent in analog audio distribution. The product is one of the few in the market place that allows the connection of digital audio sources, so there is no loss of quality by sending the audio through a Digital to Analog conversion. For analog sources, the analog information is converted to digital at the input location, thus insuring quality of the signal before it is distributed. Local and remote input capability – The product has two audio inputs built into the central unit, and the capability of adding two additional sources that may be located in areas other than the central location. This feature expands the design capability of the system. True Digital to Digital Product – The system allows the direct connection of digital audio signals into the distributed systems. High Quality, Efficient Amplification – The product features stereo amplification, remotely located, which places the amplifier much closer to the loudspeakers. The amplifiers are over 90% efficient, so there is virtually no power loss to heat as found in traditional analog and hybrid amplifiers. The super-low noise floor makes the amplifier undetectable in the loudspeakers when the amplifier is idle. Timeless, European Design – The product features ZON's award-winning design characteristics, which can be easily integrated into any décor. Rack Mountable and Stackable – Optional accessories allow the device to be mounted in a rack. The units can also be "stacked" together. Easy to Use Interface – The product features an easy to use interface that is provided by a multi-function jog wheel and high resolution LCD screen. Users are provided immediate and informative feedback as they interact with the product. No PC software required for end user customization – Users can give unique names to sources, set tonal and EQ preferences, as well as zone-specific and whole-house specific presets via the GUI and/or system remote.
